中国庆祝父亲节
一般是在六月的第三个星期天，
但是你知道吗？
并不是全世界都在这一天庆祝哦。
More than 90 countries all over the world celebrate Father’s Day in the third Sunday in June including United States, United Kingdom, Canada, France, China, Japan and Vietnam.
全世界有超过90个国家在六月的第三个周日庆祝父亲节，包括：美国，英国，加拿大，法国，中国，日本，越南等。
The attempt of establishing Father’s Day had failed for several time until the American Civil War veteran William Jackson Smart’s daughter Sonora Smart Dodd proposed the idea.
其实设立父亲节的建议之前提出过很多次，但是都失败了，直到美国南北战争老兵William Jackson Smart的女儿 Sonora Smart Dodd提出该建议。
At first, she suggested June 5, her father’s birthday, but the pastors（牧师） didn’t have enough time to prepare their sermons, so the celebration was deferred to the third Sunday in June. Dodd stopped promoting the celebration in 1920s because she was studying at the Art Institute of Chicago. In the 1930s, she returned to promote the celebration again and raise its awareness at a national level.
起初，她是提议将6月5日定为父亲节，但是牧师们并没有足够的时间来准备布道，于是推迟到了6月的第三个周日，20世纪20年代Sonora Smart Dodd因为要继续在芝加哥艺术学院的深造，停止了父亲节建立的推广。到30年代，她重新开始为之努力，并使得这一节日在全国有了知名度。
However, it was until 1972 when President Richard Nixon signed it into law that the day was made a permanent national holiday. Before that, the attempt to formally recognize the holiday had been defeated by congress for many time out of the reason that the holiday would be commercialized.
不过该节日的官方认证经历了多次失败，因官方担心其会变得商业化；直到1972年，尼克松总统将其写进法律，成为一个永久的国家节日。
但是对于部分中国人来说，习惯把8月8日定为父亲节，因为谐音“爸爸”。
Some Chinese people like Taiwanese celebrate Father’s Day in August 8th for the date is the homophone for the word “Papa” in Chinese.
画风还有点不一样的就是德国啦！
In Germany, people take the fortieth day after Easter as Father’s Day. At the beginning, it was the day for celebrating that Jesus Christ left the earth and went to the heaven. Gradually the day became Men’s Day and then turned to the Father’s Day.
德国人将耶稣复活后的第40天定为父亲节。起初，这只是一个庆祝耶稣飞天的日子。慢慢地，这天成了男人们的狂欢日，后经演变成为父亲节啦。（大概是在一天，父亲们可以重回自己的单身时光，不用管孩子管工作，尽情放松狂欢。）
It is worth mentioning that not only fathers but also single men would celebrate the day like drinking beer and having barbecue.
值得一提的是，很多单身男青年也在这一天庆祝，（毕竟德国人是不会放过任何一个可以狂欢的日子），如喝啤酒吃烧烤！
